Whenever I’ve had a question they’ve answered when I thought I needed the pram looking at they took it for me straight away was nothing wrong just me being silly but they gave it a good clean and changed my basket I didn’t even realise was broken 🤦‍♀️, I’m now currently expecting our final baby which is a boy an my egg is rose gold so I came back again this week to get a idea of different prams that will double up, so helpful again even when we spent a while there and my daughter running wild still did not feel rushed or pressured, I felt reassured and left feeling like I’d made the right choice again! Such a lovely family business! We are so happy we found this little local gem to purchase our Silver Cross travel... system. As first timers we were pretty clueless to what it is we needed or wanted. The team here were so knowledgeable and helpful about their products and made sure they knew what kind of lifestyle we had, boot space and of course the all important - what colours and styles we liked!! The shop looks small but is like a tardis inside - the amount of prams, car seats, cots and other items in here easily compares (if not exceeds) larger stores. We were told about different brands and showed how each unit we expressed an interest in works - folding up and down, different attachments, push around the shop etc and nothing felt like too much trouble. We felt like family every time we visited and got such brilliant service that you just didn’t find in high street/major stores. The customer experience was excellent without compromising on price - their bundles are competitive and they are running offers all the time and offer flexible payment. We found our perfect pram and car seat and they even sourced a matching item we really wanted which was impossible to purchase anywhere!! The shop is fully Covid secure, this is taken very seriously but is done in a way it doesn’t take away from the experience, we always and felt safe and welcome and even took our pooch to visit once and he was spoiled too haha. When our items arrived we could even have them assembled and fitted for us which saved us a huge job. Every person we have come into contact with there lives and breathes the place, has so much passion and makes you feel like part of the family. I would never shop anywhere else now for any baby items we needed and tell everyone expecting a baby that they must check them out! We had done our research beforehand and had a good idea of what we wanted, but the lady who served us was happy to show us all the features of the pram we were looking at, talking us through why it would be the right pram for our needs. We opted to go for a factory second which gave us a great saving, we were given the option of paying 10% then paying in instalments or paying in full on the day. They stored the pram for us at their warehouse and we picked it up nearer to our due date, they also offered to assemble it for us before we collected it. We had a look at the wide range of car seats they had on show in the shop whilst we were waiting. James helped us decide on the right one by explaining the features of each car seat and allowing us to put Isabella in the car seats to see which one was best for her. We decided on the Silver cross motion and we were very pleased that it was in stock and available for us buy. Whilst we paid James even fit it in our car for us ready for the drive home. We came to the shop today and had such a lovely experience. From the moment we walked through the door we felt... welcome. Hand sanitiser on entry and social distancing followed brilliantly. Claire let us wander round and then came to offer her help. We discussed furniture options and we felt like she was giving us great advice not just trying to sell us the most expensive things. She was so helpful discussing car seats and the pros and cons of each. She gave us demos on how to fit the isofix base and then the car seat. We went downstairs to look at prams and she was so patient with us. Showing us how to set each element of the pram up and also how to put it all down. She talked us through accessories and what was the best deal when buying a bundle. We came away with a pram, carrycot, footmuff, bag, clips, rain cover, carseat, isofix base, coverlet, cot sheets, clothes and a little pram toy. At no point did we feel obliged to buy anything. We then decided that we wanted the furniture set when we got home. So we text Claire (in the evening) and she has sorted this order out over the phone straight away. After the stress of being pregnant in lockdown and the worry of not being able to get the items we wanted in time for the baby’s arrival, this experience was so lovely and we are so pleased that babycare was recommended to us and we can see why it was. Ordered a parasol on Saturday and paid at the time of ordering. Had a phone call today to say that ‘your parasol has... a tear in it’ when they’ve checked it before sending out for delivery. We finally... decided on our Limited Edition Expedition Pioneer yesterday on our second visit to the shop and was offered a fantastic deal. Taken the pram away same day from stock at the warehouse and it’s perfect. The staff here can’t do enough for you, they make you feel extremely welcome and help you out, even first time parents-to-be who haven’t a clue like us. The lovely Ally looked after us and gave us a wonderful demonstration of how everything worked. We even looked at furniture and car seats while we waited for our pram to be brought from the warehouse. Would highly recommend this shop. They do a variety of makes and other baby items too. Thanks to Alison and the babycare team who got back to me super quickly with our broken surf problem and swiftly found... us a way to keep our 5.5year old surf going with a new seat. The pushchair has been through a lot with us, being a 4 wheel city pram, a 3 wheeled off road pram and even a 6 wheeled school drop off pram for 2 kiddies. Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! Came across the shop whilst browsing the internet and decided that we'd pop up this... weekend to see what was in store. We were not disappointed! We were shown all the different styles and given information on prices. We had already had our hearts set on the Wayfarer Chelsea, Gary was amazing and advised us that he had one in the warehouse, he was more than happy to pop up to the warehouse and bring it down to the shop within 20minutes! He gave us a full demonstration on how to assemble and take down, we couldn't have asked for anything more! All of the ladies were incredible too, the service was perfect and felt so personal. I cannot recommend this family run business enough! Pram shopping can be a very daunting experience, and other pram shops I dealt with could be a bit intense. But not here! Clare answered all my questions and was so helpful. Any follow up emails I had were answered promptly. I ordered the travel system online on the Tuesday night and it arrived in Glasgow on Thursday - I was thrilled! The price I got the Silver Cross travel system for was unrivalled by any other local or online pram shop, the service was impeccable and the pram, car seat, etc. is fantastic. A must visit for all expectant parents! Claire and her team cannot do enough for you and know everything there is to know about their products. The store has everything: prams and strollers, car seats and furniture, from all the different brands. They didn’t have 1 thing we were looking for due to it being discontinued but went out of their way and got it. Would definitely recommend here before you go anywhere else.
